• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid Mississippi driver’s license
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Must meet physical requirements and pass a physical agility test
• Certification in Firefighter I (or ability to obtain within one year)
• CPR and First Responder/EMR certification preferred Responsibilities: City of Winona Duties and Responsibilities:
• Respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other emergency calls
• Perform firefighting duties, including rescue operations, containment, and suppression
• Operate and maintain fire department vehicles, equipment, and facilities
• Conduct fire prevention inspections and public safety education programs
• Participate in training exercises and maintain required certifications
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the fire department
